Graff Family Vineyards:
2004 Consensus
In honor of the late Dick Graff and his book
Consensus, the wine shows how conflicting grapes like
conflicting ideas, can come together to make the
whole better than the parts.
When these three varieties, all grown on the
Chalone bench in Monterey County, are blended, the
result is a complete wine of broad proportions.
Modeled after the great wines of Châteauneuf du
Pape, the wine shows elegance and power. Drink with
beef, lamb and lasagna. The wine is hearty enough to
pair with bold cuisine. The soft tannins make it delicious
right now, but with patience; this wine will
continue to improve for the next three to seven years.
